Individual Counseling & Therapy
Individual counseling is a process through which each client meets with a therapist on a one on one basis to explore and discuss the individual’s feelings, beliefs, and behaviors. The sessions sometimes focus on helping the individual identify aspects of their lives that they would like to change, how to better appreciate themselves and others, set personal goals, and work toward desired change. People may seek therapy for different reasons, from coping with major life challenges or childhood trauma, to dealing with depression, stress or anxiety, to simply desiring personal growth and greater self-knowledge. Mindful Journey Center provides individual counseling using Evidenced-Based interventions such as Traumatic Incident Reduction (TIR), EMDR, Solution Focused, Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness and others. We are humanistic and person-centered therapist that tailors our services based on the individual’s needs. Individual sessions are effective for individual dealing with: depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, grieving, trauma related issues, betrayal, trust issues, life changes, stress, anger, addictions and addictive behaviors, self-defeating behaviors, and others.
